XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE Graphics Card Launch

XFX Launches Radeon RX 7900 GRE Graphics Card

XFX has officially unveiled its latest graphics card, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE. This custom-design card maintains the RX 7000 series Speedster MERC board design, but does not have a specific brand extension. The styling of the RX 7900 GRE closely resembles that of the RX 7800 XT Speedster QICK 319 Core Edition, suggesting they share a similar board design. The RX 7900 GRE is built on a compact "Navi 31" package, rumored to be pin-compatible with the "Navi 32," resulting in board designs that are more similar to the RX 7800 XT cards than the RX 7900 XT cards.

The XFX RX 7900 GRE measures 33.5 cm in length, 13 cm in height, and occupies 3 slots. It features an aluminium fin-stack heatsink similar to the RX 7800 XT QICK 319, with three fans for ventilation. XFX has overclocked the RX 7900 GRE to have Game clocks of 2052 MHz, compared to the reference Game clocks of 1880 MHz, while keeping the memory speed at 18 Gbps. The card requires power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and offers three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and one HDMI 2.1 output. Pricing details have not been disclosed by the company.
