G.Skill is putting the final touches on its upcoming flagship overclocking PC DDR5 memory series, the Trident Z5 Royal. This series was first revealed at Computex 2023, but actual products were not released at that time. The last memory series with the Royal branding that was mass-produced was the Trident Z Royal Elite DDR4 series in 2021. It seems that G.Skill may have delayed the launch of the Trident Z5 Royal series because by mid-2023, memory speeds exceeding 8000 MT/s were not as popular among enthusiasts as they are now.
The G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal series memory modules are available in two versions: gold and silver. Both feature the same geometric design and are topped with an acrylic lighting diffuser that resembles a cluster of gemstones. It is expected that the series will include memory kits with high capacities (48 GB, 64 GB, 96 GB) and high speeds (DDR5-8000 and higher). The company is likely to launch these products next month, so be sure to visit the G.Skill booth for more information. Watch the company's teaser video below.
