ASUS ROG Ally X Specs Leak
The specifications sheet for the upcoming ASUS ROG Ally X handheld game console has been leaked online, confirming many of the rumors that have been circulating for the past month. The Ally X represents a significant upgrade from the ROG Ally Extreme. Initially thought to be a simple design revision to address issues with the microSD card slot placement, the leaked specs reveal that the ROG Ally X now features a larger M.2 drive bay with support for M.2-2280 drives, providing users with more storage options. The included drive is now 1 TB, double the capacity of the original ROG Ally.
Rumors of a larger battery for the ROG Ally X have also been confirmed, with the device now boasting an 80 Wh battery, offering a 40% improvement in battery life. While the CPU remains the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme, ASUS has upgraded the memory to 24 GB LPDDR5X-7500, a 50% increase in size and a 17% increase in bandwidth compared to the ROG Ally Extreme. Additionally, ASUS is introducing USB4 type-C with integrated DisplayPort 1.4 and PD 3.0 output.
