Benchlab 2: Next-Generation PC Telemetry and Monitoring Unveiled at Computex
Benchlab, a real-time telemetry hardware project developed by ElmorLabs and Open Benchtable, has long been recognized for its precision in PC system monitoring and fine-tuning. The latest evolution, Benchlab 2, was recently showcased at the Corsair booth during Computex, marking a significant milestone in the project’s journey. This new hardware platform is the result of a close collaboration with Corsair, bringing a host of enhancements designed to meet the needs of enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Enhanced Telemetry and Robust Hardware Design
Benchlab 2 introduces a redesigned six-layer PCB, which delivers more reliable power distribution and improved signal integrity. The platform now features advanced telemetry capabilities, new sensors, and enhanced 12VHPWR safety mechanisms. Notably, Benchlab 2 is engineered with built-in compatibility for the Corsair Frame chassis, making it the first Benchlab monitoring board to support installation in a traditional PC case, rather than being limited to open-air test benches.
Seamless Integration with Corsair iCUE Ecosystem
According to a recent update on the Benchlab blog, Benchlab 2 will offer deep integration with Corsair’s iCUE software suite. Users will benefit from a dedicated widget, enabling real-time monitoring and control through devices such as the Xeneon Edge monitor and the latest Vanguard keyboards. This integration streamlines the user experience, allowing for centralized management of system telemetry and hardware controls.
Advanced Safety Features for 12VHPWR Connectors
Addressing concerns among NVIDIA GPU owners regarding 12VHPWR cable reliability, Benchlab 2 now includes per-pin monitoring for two 12VHPWR connectors per build. This feature provides granular insight into power delivery and helps detect potential issues before they escalate. Additionally, a built-in buzzer offers immediate alerts if any anomalies are detected, enhancing system safety and user confidence.
Expanded Connectivity and User Controls
Benchlab 2 supports up to two SSDs, features a 5V standby power switch, and includes physical power on and reset buttons for direct hardware control. The addition of front panel header connectors further simplifies integration into a wide range of PC builds, making Benchlab 2 a versatile solution for both open-air and enclosed systems.
The launch of Benchlab 2 is scheduled for late 2026, with the exact release date yet to be announced. With its advanced telemetry, robust safety features, and seamless integration with Corsair’s ecosystem, Benchlab 2 is poised to set a new standard in PC system monitoring and hardware management.
