Thermalright Unveils Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 and 140 SE V3 CPU Coolers

Thermalright has announced the launch of its latest CPU cooling solutions: the Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 and Peerless Assassin 140 SE V3. These new models build upon the established Peerless Assassin V3 series, introducing enhanced fan designs and optimized aluminum fin-stack patterns for improved thermal performance.

Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3: Compact and Efficient Cooling

The Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 is the more compact option in the lineup, designed for users seeking high performance in a smaller form factor. This dual tower (type-D) cooler features six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes that efficiently transfer heat from the C1100 copper base through the fin stacks. The heatsink itself measures 125 × 135 × 155 mm (excluding fans) and weighs 608 grams, with the included fans adding approximately 200 grams.

Equipped with two TL-P12 fans, the 120 SE V3 utilizes fluid dynamic bearings for longevity and quiet operation. Each fan connects via a 4-pin PWM header, reaching speeds up to 2,000 RPM. At maximum speed, each fan delivers up to 70.84 CFM of airflow with 2.63 mm H₂O static pressure, while maintaining a noise level of just 29.8 dBA.

Peerless Assassin 140 SE V3: Enhanced Cooling for Demanding Systems

The Peerless Assassin 140 SE V3 is designed for users who require even greater cooling capacity. This larger model features a heatsink measuring 132 × 140 × 158 mm and weighs 840 grams without fans. The cooling system incorporates a 140 mm fan positioned between the two fin stacks and a 120 mm intake fan at the front.

The 120 mm intake fan, the Thermalright TL-C12C-X28 V2, operates at speeds up to 1,850 RPM, providing up to 88.89 CFM of airflow and 2.21 mm H₂O static pressure, with a maximum noise output of 29.5 dBA. The 140 mm conveyor fan, the TL-D14CB, spins at up to 1,500 RPM, delivering 77.84 CFM of airflow at 2.09 mm H₂O static pressure, and operates at a quieter 25.6 dBA.

Broad Compatibility and Modern Features

Both the Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 and 140 SE V3 are engineered for broad compatibility with modern desktop platforms. Supported CPU sockets include AMD AM5 and AM4, as well as Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, and LGA1200/115x. This ensures that users can integrate these coolers into a wide range of current and next-generation systems.

While Thermalright has not yet disclosed pricing details for these new coolers, the Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 and 140 SE V3 are positioned to offer advanced cooling performance with improved design and fan technology, catering to both mainstream and enthusiast PC builders.
