MSI Releases New AMD AGESA PI 1.0.0.7c BIOS Update
MSI has announced the release of a new BIOS update, version 1.0.0.7c, for its X670E, X670, B650, and A620 motherboard product line. This update focuses on providing support for higher DDR5 memory modules and addressing stability issues. The update significantly increases the supported memory frequency for AMD Ryzen CPUs.
Below is a list of models that will be ready for the release, with support for other models coming in the following week.
Memory Stress Test Results
The screenshots below demonstrate the successful running of a Memory Stress Test on an AMD Ryzen R7 7700X CPU paired with a dual-channel DDR5-7200 MHz "EXPO" certified kit on MSI's PRO B650-P WIFI Motherboard, without any stability issues. Additionally, the test shows that running a Memory Stress Test on an AMD Ryzen R9 7900X CPU with MSI's MEG X670E ACE Motherboard can achieve a high frequency of 8000 MHz (CL36).
Additional Updates
The AGESA 1.0.0.7c update includes extra protection for reliability compared to previous versions. It also addresses a few potential vulnerabilities and security loopholes.
