Intel, in a presentation to its channel partners, has confirmed its plans to release the next generation of its Arc Xe² discrete GPU lineup, codenamed "Battlemage." This marks Intel's second foray into high-performance gaming graphics since its return to the segment in 2022 with the Arc "Alchemist" series.

The presentation slide, titled "One Intel," provides insights into the company's upcoming products in the client segment for the coming year. It reveals that Intel will be launching new products in the PC processor, workstation processor, and discrete GPU segments. This can be seen as a confirmation of the expected 2024 release of "Battlemage." Previous company slides had indicated that the launch of "Battlemage" would coincide with the release of Intel's "Meteor Lake" and "Arrow Lake" client processors, with "Arrow Lake" anticipated to launch in 2024.

With "Battlemage," Intel aims to deliver a significant increase in performance and introduce new hardware capabilities. The discrete GPUs in this lineup are expected to be manufactured using a 4 nm-class foundry node by TSMC.
